A comforting hospital Birth of Twins in Quebec
Knowing that I was expecting twins was an indescribable joy! It was a wish my husband and I had wished and a prayer we had prayed for a long time.
Around a month prior to giving birth, I started to feel a little anxious. The cause was that during my pregnancy visits at the hospital, the medical staff would tell me how I am a high risk pregnancy (due to twins) and seldom women give birth vaginally in those cases. Fortunately, I also had friends who previously gave birth to twins that would encourage me. This helped me a lot because I had women sharing their positive experiences right before my eyes. I decided to focus on those positive experiences from my friends and would keep the negativity and fear the doctors would project out of my head.
So, a few days before the birth of my boys, I spoke and declared that all was going to be well and go well!
"They were three minutes apart; I pushed my twins vaginally and beautifully by the grace of God"
On the 20th of October, they gave me pitocin which induces labor. It also makes the contractions less efficient but more forceful, painful. After a long and exhausting labor of 19 hours, I asked for an epidural. Little did I know that in the next fifteen minutes I would have my babies in my arms. They were 3 minutes apart, I pushed my twins vaginally the natural way, and it was beautiful by the grace of God.
My advice to you, a beautiful mum expecting or willing to have a child is to remember that you are the one giving birth. You know your body, you've got this. It is good to get informed through the internet and I know we all do that. We look up what we should or should not eat, what we should wear, how to sleep and more, BUT please, search out as much of all the good, beautiful and positive experiences that you can find.
"Once your head knows and believes this, your heart will follow and your body won't have any choice but to go along."
Keep your heart and mind always positive throughout the entire pregnancy, knowing that you've got this and it is going to go well. Whether a single or multiple pregnancy, you are made for this. You can do it and I say YOU can do it all naturally. It will all start in your head. Once your head knows and believes this, your heart will follow and your body won't have any choice but to go along. Be blessed.
